It's a pre-2012 story, but needs retelling.
I was headed over to a friend's house one evening and had just told Paul that I was leaving.
"Who's going to be in charge of us?" Paul demanded loudly.
I very slowly cut my eyes toward his father sitting in the chair right next to him and pointed that direction.
"Ohhhh," my son said, like the thought hadn't occurred to him at all.
I guess that establishes hierarchy in the family.
