There was something so magical about seeing Disneyworld through Andy's eyes. Five-year olds still have the ability to imagine anything and everything. Even a kid like Andy who questions every blessed thing that crosses his path. There we were wandering the park, keeping our eyes open for all the various Disney characters and exclaiming excitedly when we found one. And at some point during the hot afternoon, Andy pulls me in for a serious moment.
"I know why we haven't seen Tinkerbell," he says with a nod.
"Why?" I ask with interest. Because you honestly never know with that kid.
"Because Tinkerbell is too little," he says with authority. And later that evening, when they kick off the amazing Disneyworld fireworks, a bright light travels from the castle into the night. The awesome Disney worker bees exclaim "Look, it's Tinkerbell!" And Andy's face just lit up the dark. Tinkerbell had in fact made it to the park while we were there.
