I took Rachel (along with Kathryn and Kathryn's mom) to the Lady Gaga concert in Tulsa. I do wish I had been able to take my real camera so that I could have captured all the wild costumes. It was a phenomenal production, even if Gaga didn't start until past my bedtime (10pm) and we trudged our way back to the hotel at midnight.
Pooped I am. OH! But after the concert, the girls ran to the bathroom and the other mom and I were lazily starting to move when the drummer began throwing his sticks into what was left in the crowd. With an incredible surge of energy, I began screaming "Here! Here!" and wouldn't you know it, he actually tossed a drum stick past the young flashy ones in the crowd toward the older ladies further back (me and Kathryn's mom). I caught the drum stick in my hand! It didn't bounce off my head or fall to the ground. I caught that thing as if I catch flying objects all the time. So now Rachel has a souvenier.
Anyway, after being gone for a little over 24 hours, my wee Paul rushed into my arms to hug me and then a bit later, he just burst out with a "Mommy? Thank you for coming home."
Awwwww....
What a GREAT thing to be thanked for! On a side note, call Teri Carroll. She is in charge of home room moms! See the thursday note for details!
