I also told her that I was planting the college seed into Rachel's head, and that she should do the same with Kathryn. Her response cracked me up...
"We hear different things from Kathryn - some days, she wants to be a vet or open a bakery with Rachel. Most days, she says she's going to be a Pokemon master."

To which I replied....that I'm pretty sure Pokemon masterhood doesn't require a 4 year degree, but we should really check into it. Mostly for our sanity of knowing whether or not our girls will rake in enough dough as Pokemon masters to live on their own. Actually, I'm pretty sure Pokemon masters have a central clubhouse, probably like the Batcave only more colorful. But I'm also pretty sure that our Rachel and Kathryn would be unhappy in a group situation having to take orders from the Alpha Pokemon master, so my guess is that they are planning to go on their own and do Pokemon master contract work. I can also guarantee that their business cards would be oh, so, awesome, much more awesomer than any other Pokemon master's cards. And if they're planning to go on their own, they probably still need a 4 year degree in something with at least a minor in business.
Parenting is not for the stupid. You gotta be ready for any curveballs thrown your way.
I see! I know this is not as interesting, but I wanted to be a dollar bill doctor. You know fix up people's ripped dollar bills. I like working with money.
ReplyDeleteHere is a little seed of my own though Rachel...
Norman has A LOT more culture and fun Rachel things than Stillwater. Your Mom might hate me for this too, but I think even going somewhere other than Oklahoma is an even better idea and something I wished I had looked into more seriously. It is only about 4 years (7 in my case but who's counting) and then you can come back if you want. However college is worth it no matter where you go even if it is in Stillwater, OK.
So, if you decided to advance beyond your BoPM (Bachelor of Pokemon Mastery), would you have a MoP (Masters of Pokemon)?
ReplyDeleteOr would the mop simply be the tool you're issued to do your job?
