| Flag salute before start of race |
But after winning Fastest Car in the Pack last year and knowing that there was going to be an actual trophy this year and also unable to accept defeat, Kevin and Andrew built the car. Kevin allowed his son to participate in sawing, sanding and painting. I put on the OSU tatoos. But when it came time to put the wheels on that Friday night - "boys, do not touch anything."
Apparently, it's all in the wheels. Who knew? Certainly not me and certainly not every other car at the race.
Because for the second year in a row, Kevin...er...Andrew took Fastest Car in the Pack. And got a cool trophy this year.
Suddenly, photos emerged on Facebook trying to incriminate us. Since I am the Committee Chair for the pack and also organized much of the derby, people were trying to accuse us of fixing the race. Look at their "evidence" below.
By the way, it should be noted that Paul's car, in the sibling races, won almost every time. It was the same car as last year, with a fresh coat of paint and special doggie stickers. Did Paul care?
No, he did not.
Go Winterrowds! At least 'til we get banned because we always win. Or until I have to take over and well, we know my attitude about that....block of wood and four wheels.
