Easter Tidings

And a Happy Easter to everyone!

We dyed eggs last night. It was a moment straight out of "A Christmas Story" had that movie been Easter-themed. You know, it was wholesome, family-oriented, cute...and quirky.

Rachel had a very difficult time controlling her good humor as Paul dumped eggs into cups of colored water with zero regard to the splash factor. And once Paul got ahold of a spoon or that wire egg dipper, colors were flying. Literally. It's not that Rachel has control issues (see Aunt Christi's Easter post), but when Rachel is in artsy mode, you do not mess with her palette. She never said a word, but each time Paul cannonballed an egg into a cup, you could feel her cringe.

Only one egg got broken, I'm proud to say. Ask Andy about that one. "Paul did it on purpose."

Pretty, huh?

If you're more of a "Monty Python" type person, the following is for you:

Lots of creepy, mouthless creatures overjoyed at the man on horseback. But they did throw palms down, so perhaps they're not so creepy after all.

Jesus entertained his friends for one last bash. Someone had too much to drink and passed out on the table.

Jesus returns from prayer in the garden to find his buddies, not asleep, but hidden in a cloud of smoke. Is that legal stuff there?

The three dudes nailed to their respective crosses. On top on the world.

Boo! Ha ha, fooled you!

  1. I love it! We did the same book last year and they do it again this year to see the difference in their detail. I just LOVE it! Great job Andy.
