Paul's Vocabulary

At the ripe old age of 22 months, Paul has finally started "talking." A better way of putting that would be that Paul has finally started uttering syllables specifically associated with objects. Because Paul jabbers constantly. One would think that a baby would start with the single most important things in his world...and maybe this is the case...who knows?

"Dz-z" - Daisy, our dog. Obviously. Man's best friend.
"Nyuh" - milk. Obviously. Sustenance.
"Crwa" - cracker. Again. Sustenance.
"Na na" - banana. Distinctly different from milk.
"Tee" - tv. Entertainment. Naturally.
"Cwoo" - Blue's Clues. Entertainment and man's best friend.

That about sums it up. As you can see, Momma and Daddy don't rank at all.

On a suspicion, we had Paul's hearing tested a few days ago and his right ear failed. The audiologist thought there was a little fluid in his ear that could be causing this problem, but yesterday the doctor shook his head no. So I've put in a call to the audiologist to get a few more questions answered and I guess we take it from there.
