This is an almost identical post to one my pal Amy wrote a while ago, but it's worth repeating in our own storytelling.
Rachel: "You two boys are going to learn to flush the toilet properly! I'm sick and tired of having to flush twice! Ga!"
Me: "What's wrong with the way they flush?" (I already know the answer).
Rachel: "They flush before they're even done peeing! Ga!"
Andy: "I do not!"
Me: "Oh, yes you do. You know it. You do it that way because your daddy does it that way."
Rachel: "Why?!?"
Me: "Do you really want to know this?"
Rachel: "Yes."
Me: "Because they are trying to see if they can finish peeing before the water is completely flushed. It's a race."
Rachel (with a look of complete and utter disbelief on her face): "Well, they lose everytime."
Smart Girl Rachel. They will continue to lose too and it will be a habit we women will never be able to break.
ReplyDeleteAs least she learns this at a young age. At 27 I just didn't get the point...scratch that, I still don't get it. Thanks for making me laugh!
