For Rachel's official birthday party last weekend, two other moms and I took 10 girls to a restaurant in Bricktown called The Melting Pot. It's a fondue joint. Actually, not a "joint" as it's a pricey little place. So it's a fondue "experience," which is what they tell you on the phone.

Forget cheese, we wanted chocolate. They have about a dozen different selections of chocolate creations, which are melted for you right at your table. This above is called YinYang and is a delectable combination of dark and white chocolate.

Rachel also picked a pot of pure milk chocolate, a pot of Smores and a pot of Cookies 'n Cream. The latter two got flambeed right in front of delighted eyes.

Then they give you these gorgeous plates of yummy little dippers. You gotta give credit to a highfalutin restaurant when they choose to serve Rice Krispy treats next to cheesecake. Along with strawberries, bananas, pound cake, brownie bites and marshmallows.

Our waitress didn't appear to be at all annoyed to be serving a bunch of teenagers. She brought them all wine glasses of cherry Sprite which were just so dern pretty I had to pull a Pioneer Woman and take a still life photo.

Here's to the birthday girl!
How fun that looks!! What a great party!
