"My Kid Could Do That"

You know when you are looking at some pieces of art that are worth outrageous amounts of money and you say "My kid could do that"? Paul has recently discovered his creative side (and has finally recognized that the world is NOT his canvas). Give him some paper, crayons or colored pencils and I have plenty of time to do dishes. His one little quirk is that he wants blank paper, all the time. So he will flip through the entire notebook to find blank sheets because a sheet with one purple slash is apparently unacceptable.





"Struggle for Independence"
(You know how artists title their works.) The bold strokes in this one shows a toddler's lifelong inability to control his surroundings.

"The Recliner: A Portrait of Self-Doubt"
Do you sit up? Do you recline? Do you allow the dog to hog the foot rest? Do you slouch or curl up?

"Damn Communists"
Obviously, a political statement. See how the brighter scribbles are in the corner? They represent the fight against socialism, which insists that the individual fade into the background (you can barely see the yellow scribbles throughout the rest of the page). This one could easily be misinterpreted as mere child's play, but if you stop for a moment and consider the raging influences inundating the artist, you have to agree this is NOT mere child's play.
